Love the versatility of this.....
I skip my eye primer because of this. It goes on so smooth and creamy. Not too oily which I find in most creamy eye pencils that sometimes my eyelids tend to itch. I also use this in the inner corner of my eyes to brighten up my eyes or as a highlighter above my cupid's bow or under my eyebrows. And it doesn't crease as bad compared to other cream products for eyes like Covergirl's shadow stick did. Creamy as can be!
I think my eyes bugged out just after swatching this product! It is just so incredibly pigmented and creamy, creamy, creamy. I received this in "Milk," a TRUE white, white. To be honest, I was disappointed with receiving this color in my Target beauty box; to make my eyes pop, I prefer nude colors on the waterline vs white. In fact, I am not sure I have met a NYX product yet that I haven't liked. On the weekend, I did try this on my waterline to see how it wears and I was equally pleased with the longevity of the product. Sometimes if a product is just so creamy, it might not wear as well, but that was not the case with this product! I am excited to try other colors! Only caveat, and maybe I am just a moron with packaging LOL, but can someone tell me how to pop more product up? By the tip is a plastic ring, so it doesn't appear to be a product that can be sharpened. The bottom doesn't twist up either. I got this after reading all the excitement in reviews. Wile I overall like this eyeshadow, I'm not particularly impressed. It just seems like a lot of effort to apply it in such a way that it doesn't crease after half an hour of wearing. Since I don't like white/silverish or excessively bright shades on my eyelids, I skipped everyone's favorite in Milk, and got the pencil in Cashmere, and the co...read morelor is very natural, subtle gold. I never felt I had very oily eyelids, but with this pencil I can't skip primer+shadow+powder. That's the only way to make it last a bit longer it seems. Otherwise, it glides on easily, it is smooth, the packaging is nice. Definitely Lives Up to the Hype
This really is a sweet multitasking pencil. I loved it the moment i tried it on! The formula glides so well, has serious pigmentation, is super blendable, crease free, and do I even need to mention the sweet price tag?! Complete steal, here! A minimal bit of creasing was seen, but only where blending (for a smokey eye) wasn't done well and before it had dried down. Amazing!
This is one of my alltime fave multi-purpose products! You can use it as a liner, a primer, or even a creamy eyeshadow. So creamy and easy to blend and the colour range is to die for! NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil
These pencils have become a staple for me! I love bright colors and have a medium skin tone so my lids need to be paled out to make colors really pop and the shade Milk does the trick. I even use it with nude colors to have truer color. I just smear a little on my lids, smudge it out, and apply any shadow over it to get the brightest, truest color payoff. It really grabs and holds shadow and shimm...read moreer so well. I also like using other colors for bases to kind of custom colors. I haven't ever used it as just a shadow stick, so I can't speak to it's staying power in that respect, but I don't notice creasing when used as a base whether I use an eyeshadow primer or not (and I have oily lids). The shadow itself is very creamy so it doesn't tug at your lids and it blends out gorgeously. Well I can see why these almost have a perfect 10. They are amazing. Easy to use, because they are just like an eyeliner. They last about all evening when you use them with a base or concealer on the eyelid. Otherwise they crease in about 20 mins. There are a huge variety of colors, but my favoirite is Iced Mocha. Overhyped
I finally got myself a nyx shadow pencil. I knew they creased, I knew EVERYONE loves them, and I had to see for myself. The first time I wore it, I used primer, I put it down trying to get a good base color to show through and then I used powdered eyeshadow. It creased horribly. I tried it again using the thinnest amount - causing very little pigment to actually be there, then used powder over top...read more. No creasing, but didn't find that the pencil helped the look any. You cannot apply enough of the product to get a good color base in my opinion. I bought the popular milk one. Maybe I need to put a good white eyeshadow over top of it to get more pigmentation. Then apply color. The pencil is soft and creamy. You have to sharpen it (not a plus in my book). There are better shadow pencils and creams out there that don't crease, offer the same effect and are of a time consuming hassle. I often find over hyped products just don't work for me. Versatile product!
Okay, so this product is mostly mineral oil, which with my oily skin I thought would not jive, but it doesn't make me break out. Something to keep in mind, though. Anyways, I use this pencil in "Milk" for my eyebrows for costumes, for highlighting when contouring my face, and for eyeliner. It works well for all purposes, but it's more "dense" oily texture makes it hard to blend sometimes if you ch...read moreoose to use this for contouring making you look like you have pearly stripes on your face if you don't blend a bit more. The pencil also works well as a base for your eyebrows or eyelids if you want the color on top to be more vivid. The pencil is creamy and not chalky, and sharpens easily without crumbling. However, the rich texture may put on more product than you want, so draw with a light hand.
