Oh A Dilemma.
I absolutely love this mascara for a night time look. It really adds volume for clean, full lashes, without smudging nor flaking. However, I do have my bone to pick with it. While this mascara does add tons of volume, it is quite expensive and it doesn't do so hot when it comes to lengthening my lashes. I also have a problem of my lashes de-curling by midday if I put it on in the morning. They're Real
I recieved a sample of this and I loved it. It adds nice volume and length. The brush works well to seperate lashes and prevent clumps and has a bristly tip which helps coat all your lashes. 10 Best Mascaras -- EVER -
Nothing Special, Really
I admit I tried this product because of all the hype and great reviews and brilliant claims surrounding it, and I was really excited. But after using this for about two weeks, I have to say I'm not disappointed, but I'm not ecstatic either. They're Real! mascara really isn't anything special. I especially adore the brush, which is great for really separating all the lashes and coating the lashes from root to tip. In fact, it might be one of the better or best brushes I've ever used, and I am probably a chronic beauty junkie. But despite these great qualities, this mascara didn't work the miracles it claimed to work. First off, the mascara definitely thickened my lashes and emphasized my eyes, but my lashes had no curl whatsoever. I dutifully curl my lashes every day, and using my usual Maybelline mascara, they stay curled all day long. However, I curled my lashes as I normally do and put on They're Real! mascara, and within a few minutes, my lashes were as straight as dry wall. I think this may be because of the formula's consistency and texture. While the creamy, smooth texture is wonderful, They're Real! feels a little too wet, which might be destroying/ruining the curl. Also, They're Real! claims to be waterproof, which I honestly don't think it is. Most waterproof mascaras are drier in formula than this. For example, my daily Maybelline waterproof mascara feels a lot drier than this (and no, it's not because it's old, I've had it for only about a month), and it doesn't give me smudgy, raccoon-like eyes by the end of the day. However, this does. Next, They're Real! seems to clump really easily unless you really know what you're doing. By that I mean layering thin layers with a minute drying time in between. If you're in a huge rush or new to mascara and don't really have your technique down, this mascara could be Clump Town for you. Finally, They're Real! mascara has a ridiculously high price tag at $23 a tube, considering it's performance. I like many of it's qualities, but I truly think that there are better options out there that are more cost-effective. Great Mascara!
This mascara is great for adding a good amount of length and a little bit of volume. Easy to apply and does not clump. It will hold the curls without weighing your lashes down. One of my top favs
Love the volume and length this gives. It looks great. It doesn't leave my lashes as soft as I like but they aren't stiff and flakey either. The rubber brush took a bit to get used to. Repeat Buyer - A Good Base and Real Eye Opener
As a beauty junkie, it's pretty hard for me to become loyal to a product and buy for a second time. After receiving a sample I had to buy the full size tube and now I'm on my 3rd tube. Great when it's new
This mascara definitely delivers. The instructions that come with it are also very helpful. They tell you to use a zigzag effect on your upper lashes, which would be helpful with any mascara. If you curl your lashes, use some primer, and apply two coats, it's great. When it gets a little old (and I mean a few weeks), this product does not perform as well. They are real! Impressed!
I bought this mascara on a whim after being enticed by the subliminal yet effective way it was displayed on the checkout counter of the store. It turns out to be a good purchase. Dissapointed
Was wanting to try this since it came out and was happy when I saw the sample size at Ulta. I purchased it and was so disappointed at how it looked. Was drying and smudged easily.
