First I believe this technology works and is proven; my concern was with the Tanda unit and the company’s response to consumers. If you check consumer reviews you will find that, in the past, this company has had a reputation of poor customer service, also if you research the units you’ll find that they have a tendency to go bad after 3 months or so of use. I did see some response ...read moreon blogs from Tanda employees asking people with problems to please call the company. I thought any company can change so give them another chance to prove they have started working with consumers. I did a little research in March and April 2011 to see how they responded to consumers today. Since you need a return authorization from customer service in order to return an item, I called the number on the website 877-651-1177: no answer just leave a message so I did. I called them over 5 times in normal business hours over a 6 week period and I left several messages and they only retuned one of the 5 calls. I tried live customer service chat from the company’s website on at least 6 different occasions in normal business hours and there was never an operator available.
The bottom line is that the technology works, but be willing to lose the $300+ for the unit, because if something goes wrong, and the unit has that reputation, you will probably be stuck with the unit and no help from the company even though they say they have a 1 year warranty.
