I just received this product in the most recent Total Beauty Collection and was very excited to try it out, being that I haven’t found too many products I like when it comes to make up removal and pre-bed cleansing. I usually do a pre-wash of my make up before I shower and then afterward I’ll use my makeup remover to get any residual eyeliner or mascara that decided to be stubborn. I decided ...read moreto try this one after my shower, so I really only had a bit of mascara left under my eyes. When I first opened my sample bottle I found it to have a pretty nice light scent which I really liked, but it all seemed to go downhill from there! I used a cotton pad and dabbed underneath my eye to see how well the product would work without putting any muscle into it, and sadly enough NOTHING came off onto the pad. I then tried actually wiping under my eye and found that barely any of the residual mascara was coming off from underneath my eye. I decided to put a bit of pressure behind it for the third time (but not too much as that area is pretty sensitive) and I was disappointed to see that still, barely much more came off of skin and onto the pad. I mean, I have a Walgreens version of an eye makeup remover that makes this one look like a total joke, especially when we’re comparing something that’s about $5 for a 162mL bottle and this product, which is $48 for a 250mL bottle. On top of that, I also noticed that when I decided to use it on my face as a whole it felt as though it left a kind of layer of grease on my skin, even though in my Total Beauty Collection pamphlet (I’m not sure if that’s the correct word) it says that there is no need to rinse afterward. All in all, in my opinion once you get past the fact that it smells pretty good, this product is a waste of money.
