I received this in a starter kit. It is a mineral powder, but is translucent because that is what it is opposed to do...impart luminosity without covering up. When I ran out of the foundation powder, I bought a great liquid foundation from Estee Lauder. I used Mineral Veil over it, and still achieved the luminosity without looking fake, caky, or changing the quality and color of the makeup. Perfect powder
One of the best I own. It's a loose powder but doesn't make a huge mess. I love how the sifter has a lot of holes so if you pour out too much you can easy tap the product back through the holes. It is transparent powder so it'll work with every skin color. It helps to mattify the face which I love because I love matte skin compared to dewy finishes. It doesn't feel at all chalky on application and goes on light and sheer. I have seen complaints that it's too sheer, but it seems as though those people are confusing it for a foundation. The word veil is meant to imply sheerness, is it not? Because it isn't drying you look fresh much longer and it adds a touch of light reflection to make you look younger and more refreshed. It sits on top of lin...read morees instead of settling into and accentuating them. Also great for maturing skin that tends to look older in a matte foundation.
