Intensive, but powerful
Anytime my skin starts to make its track back to normalcy after a breakout, I like to use a good exfoliant to remove all the dead skin that usually follows. I received a deluxe sample of this microdermabrasion scrub and it's very powerful. Naturally, cleanse your face prior to using this and make sure you use a nice thick moisturizer afterwards. I recommend that you use this at night rather than in the morning because it can temporarily make your face blotchy and red like after a facial. I prefer a nice thick firming night cream to follow. You're supposed to wait 3 days in between uses as the grains do feel harsh. I wouldn't compare this to a real microdermabrasion (obviously), but it's a powerful exfoliant that's going to do it's job and remove all the dead or dry flakes from your face. If I could compare it, I would compare it to Kate Somerville's ExfoliKate line. This scrub is quite expensive, as is Kate's, but Kate has a small travel tube of ExfoliKate at Sephora for $19 if you want a luxury scrub at the lowest price, which is something that I am more than happy to do.This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 7 people said helpful

Super exfoliating!
For those with sensitive skin, I would definitely proceed with caution! This is called "microdermabrasion" for a reason, as it is much more intense than your average facial scrub. The particles are smaller and there are more of them, so you really get that exfoliating feel. And I like how specific the instructions were about waiting at least 3 days between each use. Unfortunately my sample only ha...read mored enough product for 2 uses, but I liked how clean and fresh my skin felt after each use. I see other reviewers referencing a lemon scent, which is odd to me, because I thought it had a subtle mint smell? Maybe they've changed it or this is another case of my nose not being sensitive enough to pick up a scent correctly. As much as I enjoyed it, I won't be purchasing to use regularly because right now Sephora is selling it for $78 for two ounces. I don't like any product that much! Good at home treatment...
The Microdermabrasion by Dr. Brandt is a fantastic treatment. I received a deluxe sample of this and really liked the results. It is an intensive treatment that sloughs away dry, dead skin to reveal a radiant complexion. The drawback? The price!
