smooth as a pearl
I compared the Gillette Venus with what I normally use, Fusion, and was pleasantly surprised. It glided so smoothly, I expected that it wasn't giving me a close enough shave. Two days later, Venus had less stubble than its rival. Venus feels effortless gliding over knee bones and ridges. Great!!
This has got to be the best razor I have ever used. I loved my old Venus, but this one is way better. Slides right over my legs, including my knees, with no trouble. And it works really well on my underarms--I usually have problems with both razor burn and closeness under my arms, but not with this razor. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE It!!!!
I absolutely LOVE this razor. I'm normally afraid to use razors alot, but this one is the best. It gave me such a smooth shave. I did not nick myself once. It left my skin feeling silky smooth. Love it!
This razor gave me such a clean shave and left my legs feeling silky smooth. Its only downfall seems to be the sticky residue it leaves behind, but that can be fixed if you use the suction cup tray that sticks to your shower wall that has room for more razor blades (which was a great idea). As expected
The Venus Embrace performed as expected. It is definitely better than the original Venus that came out years ago, but it's about the same as the previous Venus Divine. I do like the color and the holder that came with it. So it's really up to you, but if the 2 razors are the same price, I would go with the Embrace just because the holder is really cute and I like the colors! My legs stay soft for a long time after I use any venus razor. when i bought this one, I was nervous but I tried it - amazing! my legs are still soft for a longer time than other brands. Here's the tip to the cost: coupons! Embrace the Venus!
I usually prefer to secretly use my boyfriends razor blades that are left in the shower because it seems to work THAT much better (until one of my gf's got me this 'Venus Embrace' in a goody bag)! If anything, I'm afraid my bf will be secretly using MY razor! The five blades makes sure you get a nice, smooth shave with no stubbbs left at all! Okay for wide-open spaces
For large areas it makes shaving faster and easier...but for smaller areas a single blade disposable razor is easier and better to use. I tried to put the holder on the side of my shower and it immediately fell off so I threw it away. I can see why you need it though because the razor sticks to the surface it sits on because of the "ribbons of moisture." Not as happy with the Venus Embrace razor
I tried it and it was a little different using it because there are 5 blades. It does conture the leg nicely but I had stuble the first time so I had to shave again.
