This is the best Razor!
I agree with the others in this review that this one is costly and so are the replacements! But, once you use it and see what great results you will have, I was hooked! I'll be upgrading!
I already owned the original Venus, so I was happy enough to try the upgrade to the Embrace. WHAT a difference. It definitely gave me a closer shave. I even got my husband to try it so that we could see for certain, since his whiskers grow rather rapidly. His face stayed whisker-free for about TWICE as long as it usually does with the Gillette Mach 3. The gel handle is an excellent design. ...read moreIt's very comfortable to use, and fits in the hand nicely. I'm used to the "hang it in the shower" storage pod, so that was no surprise, but the new storage pod design was nice. The razor is easier to hang and retrieve from the new pod, and it opens and closes easier than the old Venus design. The "moisture bar" on the head felt strange at first, because the head was MUCH larger than I'm used to. However, once I adapted to it, I loved the new feel. I shaved without ANY razor burn, which is an absolute first for me, and no nicking at all. The packaging is a nice touch, too. It's an easy-open package, so you DON'T have to get out a pair of scissors and a blowtorch to open the package. Great job, Gillette! Great, great, GREAT product. Smooth, close shave
I was a little nervous the first time I used this razor since it had 5 blades but it moved smoothly over my legs and left them very smooth and soft. I had a little razor burn the first time I used it but none after that. I really liked the close shave but I didn't feel like it lasted longer than the other razors I have used. I'm coming back to Venus
I absolutely love the new Venus Embrace. I am getting the closest shave ever. The flexable head follows your body without a nick. I used the old style Venus years ago and the moisture strip was so thick, the blade barely shaved. I gave the Venus Embrace a try long enough to really see how it holds up--and I thought it was just OK. It does slide very nicely over the skin and it goes over the knees really well. Didn't cut myself once! I did experience some razor burn after using it for a week. I don't think the "moisture strips" really do anything. It does produce a really close shave but I don't think more so th...read morean some others that are less expensive. Oh-So-FAB!!!
From the 5 blades to the comfy handle, this razor is every girl's dream come true. I have always been one to buy the every new Venus, but this one left me speachless! great shave
I've been using the Venus for years. It gives a really close shave. My legs dont get dry and they are very smooth after shaving. It's easy to use - handle is a great fit and comfortable. Silky smooth :)
I've always loved the Venus razors and I loved this one too. You get the smoothest and closest shave ever. The 5 blades are great! No Razor burn at all. You dont have to shave the same spot twice.
