Worth every penny!
I know that some people are concerned about the price of this razor (I think it retails for around $13.99) but it is seriously worth the extra money you will spend. Disposable razors are cheaper but they cannot give you the experience that the Venus Embrace will give you. I think that the 5 blades really makes a HUGE difference, and the Moisture Ribbon doesn't hurt either. My legs stay smooth for longer than they have with any other razor and I have never nicked myself with this one. As a side note, the shower pod is an AWESOME bonus- it gives you an easy way to keep the razor in your shower and provides you with room for an extra cartridge. My favorite razor yet
I've been using this amazing 5-blade razor for the past couple weeks and I am getting the closest shave, ever. Normally I need to shave everyday to stay smooth but with the Venus Embrace I can go 2 days plus without the need to shave. Gillette Venus Embrace
I was skeptical when I got the Venus Embrace. I am a Venus razor user, anyway, but I have always used the 3 blade version and thought how silly it was to have 5 blades. Boy, was I ever wrong. It is way better than the 3 blade version. The shave is much closer and lasts longer. The handle is textured and very comfortable. Very easy to handle in the shower even with soapy hands. I just used this for the first time and it was pretty much PERFECT... i loved the way it conformed to my body and seemed to get every sneaky hair. I loved the look of this razor package. The handle had vibrant blue and purple no slip rubber grip - great idea! The storage system was neat and compact - cute! BUT, the unit would not stay up - the suction cups would not hold. I tried a few times and every time, several minutes later it would crash to the bathtub floor. I was really bummed! Update of the original we all know and love
I still have left over 3-blade Venus razors(product of my mother buying me razors at every holiday possible!), so upon receiving my new Venus Embrace with five blades I pulled out the original three version and shaved one leg with each razor. I did notice a subtle difference in the five blade giving me a little closer shave. 5 blades and a squishy handle
I've been a fan of the Gillette Venus razors for a long time. In all of their many forms, they were are great razors that never led me astray. The latest one, the Venus Embrace has 5 blades instead of 3 and a much bigger head. I like all the moisture strips because it means that if I'm in a hurry and I just need a quick touch-up leg shaving job, I don't even need to use shaving cream. I used to think that all razors were like, so I never bothered to look at the more expensive ones, I was blissfully happy using my disposable ones that came in packs of ten, and cost $5. Girls - let me tell you, my shaving life changed forever after using this razor. This razor cuts down those trees on your legs with one swipe. Thanks to the moisture band circling the 5 blades, the razor felt like silk running it down my legs. My legs were silky smooth afterwards and I was in love. I don't think I'll ever be able to go back to buying disposables again. The only thing I don't like about this type of razor is that the refills are overpriced. This isn't a negative on this razor personally, because all refills are overpriced for what they are. But I'll probably end up buying them anyway. Another Great Razor in the Venus Line
I've been using the Venus Breeze for a few years, because I'm lazy and don't want to deal with shaving cream. But the Embrace has five blades, which you would just think is overkill, but instead gives you an amazingly close shave.
