I love this razor.
I have been buying this brand for a very long time and each time the new version comes out I get it. In the beginning I usually get a few cuts tipical of me but at least I dont get the cuts like I use to when we had the original one blade razors. I remember having huge cuts and I still have marks on my legs from some of those nasty cuts. I dont need to buy a lot of refills even though they are very expensive. Until now, I thought the 3 blades were more than enough but now I'm addicted to the new five blade Venus Embrace. I mean, imagine five blades ! Its like one stroke with this razor is equal to five single blade strokes ! The smoothness is like nothing you would have felt before. Like all the other regular Venus razors, this one also has the soft handle and a neck that bends for all those hard to reach places. Plus if you buy the pack you also get a shower pod that helps you hang your razor safely in the shower. No more blades lying around ! I cant recommend these enough - they are the best. Get any one of them or get everything but don't get the disposables. THEY SUCK. Seriously, I felt like it was peeling my skin off and even a new one left me burning . My Favorite!
This is my favorite razor. My legs feel so smooth after shaving and I can go a couple of days before shaving again. Other razors that I have paid much more for leave my legs feeling like I have not shaved in three days. Close Shave, Zero Cuts
UPSIDE: I love how smooth my legs felt after I used this. It made a pretty close shave (my skin feels soft and smooth for a couple of days), and the greatest part is that I never got nicks or cuts while using it. That alone is already a big plus for me. I usually itch after shaving if th...read moree area has not been properly moisturized, but I didn't feel the itch using Venus Embrace. I also like the idea of the ShowerPodâ„¢ with the suction cup. I am glad Gillette was thoughtful enough to provide the cradle for the razor, especially since this will most likely be residing in a shower stall and not on the sink. Just the fact that Venus Embrace addressed my two foremost concerns regarding a razor makes this product a good buy for me. DOWNSIDE: I feel that it can still improve in the "closest shave" department were it not for the Ribbons of Moisture. I do believe, however, that they designed the product the best they could, in order to balance the two requirements of (a) good, clean, close shave, and (b) having moisturizing properties. I know that the Ribbons of Moisture are vital in order to protect the skin from nicks and cuts and obviously to keep the skin moisturized, but these very characteristics prevent the razor from getting as close to the skin as possible. I think Gillette compromised in that sense, but it did deliver, just not as close as I think it would have made were it not for those moisture strips. Also, the head is a tad big, so it takes a little getting used to. The refills are not cheap as well. Tired of the rather uninspiring, bordering-on-dangerous shave of my cheapy pink disposable, I gave the Embrace a whirl and was truly delighted with my latest investment. According to the packaging, the five curve-hugging blades are positioned closely together and spring-mounted to create a shaving surface that adjusts to the natural contours and curves of a woman's body, allowing the blade cartrid...read morege to sit flatter on the skin for a closer shave. Check! My legs were definitely smoother. Also, a protective moisture ribbon surrounds the shaving surface for a smooth glide. Check! No nicks. Hallelujah. The soft grip handle is another bonus in that it rides in the hand comfortably and improves control, even once it gets wet. The full shaving system comes with a ShowerPod with suction cup attachments for convenient razor and blade storage. Best Razor ever!
My legs never felt smoother. Gillette Venus Embrace gave my legs a very close shave and it should since it has 5 razor blades. I had no nicks or cuts. It was able to glide smoothly around the curves of my legs and grabbed every hair too. The first women's razor I've LOVED in years!
Two years ago I swore off ALL shaving razors for women and have been using men's razors to get the close shave I've so desperately been searching for. Unfortunately men's razors aren't also made for women, Booo! The end result was EVERYTHING that I had been looking for! The first time I used it I felt the difference! The large padded area was perfect for shaving legs and large areas which men's razors aren't meant for. It also had phenomenal flexibility which allowed the blades to effortlessly glide over my curves without nicks or cuts. Plus the control and grip on the handle were also a big plus! This razor left my legs smooth, silky, moisturized and lookin' pretty hot! loving the embrace
I normally use the Venus Breeze - that has the shaving gel built around the razor. I love it because I am either too lazy or in too much of a hurry to use shaving cream. So something that has everything built in has my name all over it. But I couldn't pass up this deal and I thought I would try out the new Embrace and all 5 of it's blades. The nice thing about the Venus razor is that you can put any of the cartridges into it and it will work. So, if for some reason I don't need 5 blades, I can keep the razor and just put in the Breeze cartridge. Embrace this!
This razor is by far one of the best shavers I have ever used. Why? It is conveniently located on my bathroom shower wall and it's easy to hold the handle to maneuver the 5 bladed razor across my legs. While I don’t tend to be particularly enamoured by one razor or another, this one has a few features I hadn’t seen before.
