Should You Embrace the New Venus Embrace?
I tried out this new razor by Gillette called the Venus Embrace. Could 5 blades vs 3 really make a big difference? Absolutely! With just soap and water (I know, I know!) I really dislike how huge the surrounding head of the razor blades is. It just seems unnecessarily large. Just look at the comparison - if they could keep the 3 vs 5 blades within the same space, then why did they have to make the surrounding area so large? I guess the goopy moisture strips are larger and create a larger barrier, but it does make it more difficult to get around the bikini area with the larger head. Working well for me

venus embrace: so far, so good
I really really REALLY hate shaving. It's easily my most dreaded grooming chore. But so far, using the venus embrace has made the experience tolerable. I have super sensitive skin, and I'm constantly getting bumps and cuts, no matter how much shaving gel I use. This razor has not irritated my skin at all. Embrace Me
The Venus Embrace is a razor like no other. It glides so smoothly across the skin. I had to check at first to make sure it was actually shaving the hairs, it felt so smooth. This is an awesome razor!
I was in the store looking for a razor that had more than 2 blades, and I thought that I had to turn to mens razors instead. I saw the Venus Embrace and I was floored that it had 5-blades! I thought "Yes! Here is a razor with more blades, AND designed with a pivot head that will hug all of the curves of a females body!" I bought the razor, a little pricey needless to say (it was on sale ...read morefor $8.99), but I have to say that it was well worth the money! I used it on my legs, and it took me a total of 5 minutes to shave my legs, where as my dumb old 2-blade ones would've taken at least 30 minutes with the addition of nicks, cuts, and irritation. Then, I used it on my underarms, and it removed the hair without any irritation what-so-ever too! Next, I tried it on my beloved lady area, and I did cut myself a couple times, and it was a little difficult to manuver because of the size of the head, but I did get a smooth close shave. Best Womens's Razor for the 2000's!
I received one in the mail as a free sample and I will probably never use anything else again. The blades are dreamy and I have never had a single nick! No razor nicks!
I love the Embrace! I haven't yet nicked myself - which, is a major miracle! My nicks and cuts are of legendary status in our family. I don't know if I can keep using it because it is so expensive. Also, the blade part gets pretty sticky and tacky after being wet.
