A little bit too much work for me! :)
This is not a bad mascara but it really requires a lot of "work" to get the look I want. First off, the packaging; super cute! Very reminiscent of a Maybelline mascara. The brush, however, is HUGE. It is probably the biggest brush I have ever seen on a mascara. This makes it very awkward when applying; the brush tends to get mascara on the lash line or eyelid when applying. It is very difficult to...read more control as a result; if it was just a bit smaller, it would be easier to get in those smaller areas and wiggle without getting mascara on skin. I did like the definition and even the length, but found it to bit a bit clumpy. By the end of the day, I had no smudges (yaaaay!) and hardly any flakes! However, because it takes me longer to apply than another mascara might, I probably wouldn't try again. For me, this is not a HG. I prefer a mascara that just works perfectly, right off the bat! Just Ok....
I kept seeing this getting plugged in articles and then saw it during a 40% off the brand sale so picked it up. The formula doesn't clump, flake or irritate my sensitive eyes. However, the blasted brush is so huge and curved that its kinda hard to get into the base of the lashes and do the base "lash wiggle" that gives such a great effect. While it did give me a respectable curl, it wasn't equa...read morel to using a lash curler. Also, it didn't seem to lengthen or thicken either. Great mascara!
The first few days of using this mascara I was not impressed. It was so wet and thick and did not think it was going to work at all for me. The brush is enormous, which was somewhat difficult to handle, even for a seasoned mascara applier, such as myself (going on 20 years with this daily routine and a several year stint behind a makeup counter). I have found with some practice, scraping of the...read more brush and the natural drying out of the brush that this mascara is great! I get the full, flared out look that I was hoping for. The color is also super black (which is fantastic, because I hate those brownish looking black mascaras). This mascara wears well throughout the day, even through the 100 degree weather as of late. It does not flake or smudge once it is dry. I also find that it removes easily, which is super important to me since I am generally impatient and the end of the day and hate spending twenty dollars to remove mascara that cost me less than five. This mascara is a really great value for the price. I have used many types of mascara through my years as a mascara junkie and this is ranking in the top five. The other day I was wearing this mascara and one of my co-workers was insistent that I had false eyelashes on. (I never have gotten that comment before!) I am really happy to have discovered this mascara, because I have been so disappointed by many of the more expensive kinds (even the drugstore ones).
