Black and Blue Black
I went to this after I no longer had a job and wanted to save money. The pros: The black shades are beautiful, blue black is a very deep, intense black, not blue but the darkest black I have found. Regular black is slightly less intense, regular black shade, not brownish black either. The black shades do fade a bit but not nearly as much as any other brand, the color stays shiny and just becom...read morees (for me) more natural. I really love that this doesn't have that horrible chemical smell, instead a sort of masculine scent, like deodorant or something. The cons: The scrubbing you will have to give your bathtub after wards. And the fact that you cannot rinse this color out in 5 minutes or ten, or really even an hour. You just have to give up and keep having grey suds from your shampoo for the next week and a half. I have also dyed my hair burgundy ant none of the above happened, so I assume it is just the dark/black shades Unfortunately for Burgundy it faded like crazy and lasted only a week or so . awesome product
I did alot of looking around before I dyed my hair, I wanted to get colorsilk the first time, but my sister got me loreal...lets just say that my hair turned out red and the dye stunk really bad....Revlon was $7 cheaper and smelled a whole lot better!!!This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 8 people said helpful

Long lasting
I was skeptical of the quality at first because of its cheap price. I tried it about 4 months ago and I was surprised that it didnt fade all that much. In fact, its much better than others I've used in the past. It also made my hair very soft and shiny at first. After a few weeks, the shine went away and it somewhat dried it out (like most hair color treatments). Awesome stuff!
This color is beautiful and it doesnt wear easily, it is also EXPONENTIALLY cheaper than other hair colors on the markey for the same results. This product does exactly what it says it's going to do. I have used this product for a couple of years now & I love it. It covers all the gray and the end result is beautifully colored hair. Although the dye does drip more than others, it is available at such a great price that I don't mind it at all. revlon colorsilk does work
I have been using revlon colorsilk for quite awhile now and I love the color. I use the natural blue black. It is the only hair color that keeps the blue hue in my hair. I have tried clairol nice and easy only to have that wash out immediately and I have tried garnier nutrisse only to have that wash out immediately and I have also tried L'Oreal Feria only to have that dry the heck out of my hai...read morer and wash out immediately. Great Price and Quality
I have always used Colorsilk on my hair. I have very long hair and would spend between $80 to $100 at a salon if they did it. I have to use three boxes of colorsilk which only cost me $9, sometimes I find a bonus pack for the same price of the 1 box, therefore only costing me $6 every 4 to 6 weeks! Not great
The color is rich, but the color I got was WAY darker than the color shown on the packaging and my hair texture suffered. I have not colored my hair in twenty years, so I had perfectly natural hair, but after using this product my hair became quite porous and lost its luster (admittedly it also lost all the gray). their black is the best!
I've gone through tons of blacks and their black is great. Who woulda thought the cheapest box of hair dye would've given me the best color. The color didnt drip, didnt make a mess, made my hair shiny and it looked good. A week later I'm still loving it. Works better then the expensive brands,
Ok so we all know that hairdying contains many chemicals that are obviously bad for the hair. This certain hairdye does not contain ammonia, a common chemical that is not good for the health of hair. The color performance of this is very high, which most would not expect, it lasts long and it comes with a little packet of conditioner for after color use. I've used this many times and I would be sad if it was discontinued.
