Ultimately Feminine, Soft, and Gorgeous!
Although I own Urban Decay's first and second "Naked" palettes, I was a little wary of purchasing "Naked 3." I knew that the colors were a range of pinks, but I feared the undertone of the shades would be orange and make me look like I had an eye infection. So I hesitated for a long time. I could not have been more wrong! These are hues to flatter all eye colors in a soft way (my eyes are haze...read morel/green, but they would be even more fantastic for blue- or brown-eyed beauties). There is no limit to the number of gorgeous effects you can achieve by blending these plush, silky shadows which come in matte, pearl, and shimmering finishes. One of the benefits is the double-ended shadow brush; one side is stiff enough to allow for contouring. Besides pink, there are shades with a tiny mix of gold to them. Even the darker colors--the mauves and taupes--have a femininity which is unique. The deepest hues are "Darkside," a matte charcoal, and "Blackheart," which Urban Decay describes as the deepest black with red micro-glitter throughout. This is my favorite shade, completely wearable for day or evening. It is somewhat reminiscent of Too Faced's decadent "Black Forest Truffle" from their incredible "Chocolate Bar" palette (yes, it does smell as good as you've heard and looks even better). In fact, all UD shadows would take you from the office to a night on the town with a bit of mixing and blending. The lightest shade, "Strange," is a white with a tad of pink. You can place it on your brow bone without it looking garish or overdone. If I were getting married, this is one palette I would definitely be using on my wedding day--it's all softness and beauty! UD needs to make better brushes.....
I have tried all 4 (including the Naked Smoky) of the Naked palettes and I don't like any of the brushes that comes with it. They are just way too stiff and dense in my opinion and doesn't do anything besides packing on color. I was hoping to use it to blend but when I tried blending with this brush as well as the others, it just looks blotchy. I ended up using my own brushes instead. Even though ...read moreI've tried all 4 palettes from friends and family, this is the only palette I own since the colors were more unique in this one and I have too many neutral colors so I wanted more pink and rose tone colors. I like how this palette not only includes pink colors but a little bit of some of my beloved brown neutral tones (although they do have a slight pink undertone to them) as well when I want to switch things up. The colors are not as pigmented as I would suspect but in a way it's not bad because the colors blends seamlessly on the lids, creating a nice soft smoky eye look. There is a little bit of fallout when I tapped my brush in the pan but as soon as I applied the color to my lid, I don't get any fallout on my cheek. I also like how this palette snaps shut so when I'm traveling I don't have to worry about it opening up. Also because the colors are so similar in color they all just blend together on the lid and it's hard to tell I have multiple colors on. Naked 3
This palette is perfect if you love rosy eyeshadows. As with it's predecessors, you can create a ton of looks with this palette for day or night. The shadows are, for the most part, easy to blend, extremely pigmented. The wear time is very good. They last for hours without creasing or fading, even when worn without a primer. The only shadow in the palette I would say isn't very pigmented is Dust,...read more which was disappointing because it was one of my favorite shades at first glance. When applied, it's just pretty sparkle without much pink. Since it's a glitter shadow, it isn't as finely milled or as buttery as the other shadows, Dust is the only shade that I've had fallout with. However, the problem is solved by patting rather than sweeping on that particular shade. It's still usable and it is still gorgeous on, it's just not what I expected. I think this palette would be quite flattering on any skin tone and with any eye color as well. I have almost black eyes and a medium, olive skin tone and I love the looks I can create with this palette. I think it would be an especially gorgeous palette for those with green eyes. I own the Naked 2 and 3 and I would say that the 3 isn't quite as versatile as the Naked 2, still I find myself reaching for Naked 3 more often than the 2 these days. While the Naked 3 definitely can stand alone, it combines beautifully with other palettes. I also quite like the packaging as it is sturdy enough for travel. As much as I love this product and as much as I use it, I would say that it is a bit of a niche product. Everday Palette!!!
I use this eyeshadow palette just about everyday! I love the Naked3 Palette. The colors, like the Naked2 Palette, makes my green eyes POP!!! I live in the South, it gets hot and humid here, this eye palette wears awesomely. The color blend easily. They are very pigmented, as are most Urban Decay products, so a little goes a long way. Very pretty, but lighter than expected
The rose shades are absolutely gorgeous, but they go on very light on my eyelids, which I guess could be the point. They are extremely easy to blend and create different looks. I'm still playing with what I can do with them. I actually prefer using a different eye brush than the one that came with, but its good for blending. Love it!

Not my favorite...
I am not a fan of these colors... I don't know if the hype built me up to think it was more than it was... but I was so disappointed. I did not find these to be high quality at all-- A few had such huge chunks of glitter that I couldn't even wear it to work. The glitter got in my eyes and landed on my cheeks, and I found the eye shadows creasing by mid-morning. I also found that the more the day...read more went on, the pinker these looked, almost to the point of looking clown-ish and like I have pink eye. I only gave it a four because there were a few shades I liked a lot-- normal shades.
