When this powder was on sale at Ulta I figured I might as well try it out since I've never tried Dermablend before and I never really hear anything on this brand. I don't know why they claim this powder to be a medium buildable to high coverage. This performs more like a translucent powder in my opinion. I got this in the color Almond and in the pan, it looks extremely light so I didn't think this...read more would be a good match for me. As soon as I blended this onto my skin, I was quite impressed that it didn't really have any color or make me look white as a ghost. It just sort of melted and adjusted to my skin tone like how a translucent powder would. I don't find this powder to do anything at all. The good thing is that it didn't make my face cakey even though I layered this on to try to get that "high coverage" that Dermablend claims. It didn't even control my oil or blur my pores even though it doesn't claim to do that. It did, however, claim to cover redness, rosacea, uneven skin tone, acne scars, and birthmarks. This powder has very light coverage so I would not guarantee this powder to do that. It claims to look like skin and not makeup which I highly agree on but why would I pay $20 for a powder that does nothing for my skin.
