One of the biggest disappointments :(
Yes, it is true - one of the most disappointing products I have tried ever. Yet, I still gave it a 3? It's rare that I give any review a 3 or less; the product really has to be a challenge in order to get that kind of a rating from me. This product left me frustrated and even worse, the spots were still there and that was after the 2 weeks that Aveeno states you will see results. I have always had...read more some mild hyperpigmentation on my left cheek (old acne scars). It has been a battle; I have had acid applied to it, used RX strength products, glycolic acid lotions, AHA's, etc. But let's face it; prevention is always key, so I have been using SPF RELIGIOUSLY for years and been very patient with the process. I received the best results with Nadinola and have been using that since, but I did find this item somewhat useful as an overall lightening/clarifying/toning moisturizer but not as a concentrated product to lighten specific hyperpigmentation or "spots" on the face. You will be sorely disappointed. I saw no results. What I mean by that is that it will leave your skin looking nicer than before, but on larger areas and not on spots (mica?). The moisturizer itself is nice but has nothing of real substance to "break down" the melanin in the skin (the Vitamin A included is barely even notable). As long as you have realistic expectations, and if you prefer Aveeno products and want to improve "tone" on the skin ever so slightly, this may be an option for you, However, there are many, many, many better options out there that WORK.This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Does nothing for freckles, great for lightening skin
Originally picked this up to lighten the freckles on my skin, and the product didn't help at all. But it does work great for lightening the rest of my skin. I had a slight appearance of a mustache above my lip that was a result of darkened skin from waxing.
