It smells like an afterthought. Like it really isn't there to begin with. This is great because I don't like heavy, perfume-y smelling soaps or scrubs. The scrub itself is light and you don't feel like you're tearing off layers of your skin. I use it on my legs, knees and elbows every day and I do notice a difference in my skin texture. Slightly softer, but no greasy residue like some other oily scrubs can leave behind.
