Color protection? Nope
It takes the color out a whole lot faster. Don't ever buy anything that u leave in ur hair when there's colored dye in ur hair. I haven't tried one yet that didn't cause a bunch of dye to run down the drain. Maybe it's good for non dyed hair, but then it should be labeled as NOT for colored hair. FYI, I had blonde hair colored Tanzanite Blue, a permanent dye color by Ion.
