After so many seasons of tousled, bed-head-ish hairstyles, it looks like the tide is finally turning. One of the hottest looks on the runways at New York Fashion Week so far is the straight, smooth blowout with a center part.
At the fall 2013 DKNY show, this simple style was soft yet graphic, with pieces tucked behind the ears. “For this collection, Donna revisited some of her classic looks, resulting in a modern capsule collection that revolved around her iconic pieces. This got me thinking about the classic DKNY woman, and I wanted to create a hair look that embodied her spirit,” said Eugene Souleiman, Wella Professionals Global Creative Director for Care & Styling.
To get the look, Souleiman used Wella Professionals Thermal Image Protecting Spray, $13, throughout the hair.…

We've been showing you how to re-create the hottest nail looks fresh off the runways of New York Fashion Week, but Oscar de la Renta is giving us the chance to see his Fall 2013 nail looks before they even walk the runway tonight.
Three new limited-edition nail lacquers inspired by Oscar de la Renta's 2013 collection -- and chosen by Mr. de la Renta himself for the runway -- will be debuting at tonight's show, and while we're not all lucky enough to score an invite to the show, we can get our behind the scenes the fix through OscardelaRenta.com. Right now (and in the hours leading up the show), the exclusive new shades are available for pre-order before they are even painted on the models' nails and before they are available to the rest world tomorrow.
What stunning new lacquers…

I'm embarrassed to admit this, but here goes: I follow Kim Kardashian on Instagram. I used to lie to myself and say it was to save time because whatever she posted instantly became a lead story on Usmagazine.com. (Sue me, I'm a pop culture junkie). But really, I think I just hate-follow her. I know that makes me kind of a jerk, but we all do it in one way or another. Maybe you don't hate-follow a celebrity on Twitter or Instagram, but I bet you hate-watch "The Bachelor" or some other guilty pleasure TV show and spend the entire time screaming at the television. Bottom line: Ridiculous people make great entertainment. (Evidence? Kimmy K. and all reality TV.)
But recently, I've actually caught myself feeling a little sympathetic for Kayne West's baby mama. After a year of strictly…

Apparently all of Hollywood got the memo: After CBS formally requested less risqué attire at the 2013 Grammy Awards, A-listers actually listened. And as a result, for the first Grammys in a really long time, celebs opted for full-on glamour -- versus full-on gaudy -- on the red carpet.
Granted, the two biggest proponents of wild costumes and shocking hairstyles, Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj, were both no-shows last night. But their over-the-top fashion and beauty was not missed.
Toning down the crazy outfits meant the stars went for simple, clean beauty looks, too. In fact, there were so many classically beautiful hair and makeup looks, it was like an early peek at what Oscar night might be like.
Red lips -- currently dominating the runways at New York Fashion Week -- stole the show,…

One of the best facials I've ever received was from skin care guru Joanna Vargas. This is no big surprise since she also handles some of Hollywood's most famous complexions -- i.e. Michelle Williams. Clearly, Vargas knows what she's doing. When her natural skin care line launched late last year, I jumped at the chance to try the entire collection.
My favorite of the five products (and yes, all five are fantastic) is definitely the Vitamin C Face Wash, $65. Not only does it contain my favorite antioxidants -- Acai and Goji berry -- but it also has a mix of brightening ingredients and hydrators like Hyaluronic acid. My face hasn't broken out once since I started using her line, and my skin tone is definitely more even. Plus, the cleanser is an amazing makeup remover -- one that can…
