Good news animal-lovers: Last week, Urban Decay announced it was canceling plans to sell their products in China. The reason: China requires animal testing for all beauty products sold. Urban Decay has worked to end animal testing since its founding in 1996, and doesn't test its finished products on animals or allow others to test on their behalf.
The Humane Society is (obviously) in full support of Urban Decay's decision. "This decision will give strength to consumers and other companies to fight animal testing of cosmetics worldwide," says Kate Willett, HSUS director of regulatory toxicology, risk assessment, and alternatives.
For more info on Urban Decay and other brands that don't test on animals, check out the Humane Society website.
