An Updated Classic At Jason Wu's show, the chignon received a modern update courtesy of Odile Gilbert, who found inspiration in mid-century modernism. For a sleek and subtly sexy take on the classic hairstyle, Gilbert spritzed Kérastase Matérialiste into the palms of her hands before working it through dry hair. She then applied Kérastase Crème de la Crème from root to shaft and used her fingers to brush hair back into an ear-level ponytail. She then split hair into two sections, twisted each into chignons and secured them with elastics. Finally, to add that sleek, almost wet look, she coated strands with Kérastase Laque Dentelle.
