No. 3: Scrunchies Scrunchies might be the scapegoat of '90s beauty trends (exhibit A: The infamous scrunchie episode of "Sex and the City" -- fans will know what we mean). True, when a woman is wearing a scrunchie, it's safe to assume she's either getting ready for bed or still pines for those high school cheerleading days. Still you've got to admit, they're a reasonably comfortable, functional alternative to hair-ties (no ponytail crease!). Sorry, Carrie Bradshaw.
