The Best Hair and Makeup at the American Music AwardsFrom Katy Perry to Miley (yes, Miley), see the beauty looks from last night's AMAs we might actually try ourselves this holiday season |
Katy Perry Before Perry hit the stage at last night's American Music Awards, she walked the red carpet with one of the best beauty looks of the night. Perry's classic makeup paired perfectly with her festive, full curls.
Makeup artist Jake Bailey, who created Perry's look -- and completely changed things up moments later for her Geisha-inspired opening performance of "Unconditionally" -- started by applying a sheer layer of CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation. For the eyes, Bailey used CoverGirl Liquiline Blast Eyeliner in Black Fire, Flamed Out Shadow Pot in Melted Caramel, and the new Bombshell Volume Mascara in Very Black. Bailey gave Perry a bold red lip using CoverGirl LipPerfection in Hot -- "classic Katy," he said.

The hairstyles and makeup looks at the American Music Awards are often over the top, extreme, or just plain weird. At the 2013 AMAs, however, stars looked surprisingly pretty and subdued -- even Miley Cyrus played it safe. The beauty looks were so good, in fact, that we're using them as inspiration for holiday parties. Flip through our favorites, and let us know which one you'd try. Sound off in the comments below.
