Out: Pixies / In: Mid-Length Cuts Sure, dozens of celebs jumped on the pixie cut bandwagon last year, but that certainly doesn't mean they work for everyone. In fact, it's a rare doe-eyed, small-featured beauty who can pull of a pixie with aplomb. And since that point-one percent of the population includes many Hollywood starlets, there isn't much room left for the rest of us. (There's also a case to be made that Jennifer Lawrence's soccer-mom pixie was the beginning of the end -- but I don't want to start a riot.)
I'm predicting that 2014 will be the year of the feminine, flattering-on-everyone, healthy-looking medium-length cut. It should be blunt and swingy, front angles are optional, and it works for all hair types and face shapes. You're already growing out your pixie anyway, right?
