The styler from the future If you're anything like me, you probably crank the temperature up on your flat iron as high as it will go because the more heat, the better the style, right? Wrong, as I learned when introduced to the GHD Eclipse. This high-tech straightener maintains its single heat setting of 365 degrees (hot enough to style quickly and effectively with the least amount of damage), so it straightens or curls hair quickly and easily without frying it. It was designed to style tough-to-manage hair without having to turn up the heat to mega-damaging temperatures, but effectively styles thin or damaged hair equally well, thanks to the six heat panels (three on each side) that keep it at the optimal styling temperature.

As a bonus, it shuts off automatically after 30 minutes because everyone has been suddenly struck with the terrible uncertainty of whether they switched off their straightener (usually at the office or at an appointment and, thus, unable to do anything about it).
