Each season, we go backstage at New York Fashion Week to scope out the biggest hair, makeup and nail trends. This time around, the biggest beauty trend for fall 2016 wasn't actually a trend at all -- it was an idea of individuality. Many designers asked the hairstylists and makeup artists to embrace models' natural hair texture and offer more than one makeup look depending on skin tone or personality.

And while we couldn't love this custom idea more -- because we're all special snowflakes, of course -- we were still able to hone in on a few standout, fun trends to try. From tucked hair to glitter-bombed makeup, these are the fall beauty trends we'll be perfecting over the next six months.
