L'Oreal Paris Root Cover Up, $10.99 Though my grey hairs seemingly multiply by the day, I'm still reluctant to dye my hair (to the chagrin of my stylist). The reason: maintenance. I barely make it to the hair salon twice a year for trims. I'm not about to add costly biweekly root touchups to my calendar. Thankfully, in recent years, hair care brands have come to our rescue with root touch-up products that conceal greys in seconds. This spray by L'Oreal couldn't be easier -- or more effective.
Before heading out the door, I point the tiny, targeted nozzle at my roots along my part and at my temples, and my grays are gone (temporarily, of course). The dark brown matches my brunette strands perfectly.
Another genius use for this product: it makes hair appear thicker and fuller than it really is. As I approach my mid-40s, my hair is not as lush as it once was. Spraying L'Oreal's Root Cover Up on my scalp totally conceals that fact. --Jill Provost
