Champagne in Your Beauty Products? It's a Thing. We can toast to that! |
You’ve heard of pouring beer (or rosé!) on your hair for shinier locks and soaking in wine baths for ultra-nourished skin, but what about incorporating champagne into your beauty routine? It turns out that a little bubbly is not just fun to sip, but it's also good for your skin and hair. Bella Schneider, an esthetician and the founder of Bella Schneider Beauty and the LaBelle Day Spas & Salons, explains.
“Champagne has antibacterial properties that can be used as a toner to help promote clear skin, and the polyphenols found in champagne help repair damaged skin by reducing inflammation and restoring elasticity, while the tartaric acid evens out tone,” she says. “Additionally, the polysaccharides in champagne deliver oxygen to the skin providing lift and a tightened effect.”
Since straight champagne might be a little drying to your skin, it’s best to use products that are specifically formulated for topical usage. We rounded up several champagne beauty product options, including an entire line of hair care.
