"Washcloths are a great tool to physically break down the layers of sunscreen you've applied throughout the day," says Guanzon. "Just make sure to be gentle and follow up with a hydrating lotion afterwards." We'll repeat: Be gentle! Being too rough will cause irritation, leading to more skin care concerns.
Simpson recommends avoiding washcloths unless they are made of very soft microfiber. "I am obsessed with the Face Halo, $22, which really helps remove SPF, makeup, pollution and build-up from skin," she says. Simpson says that the Face Halo can be used daily when being gentle.
Simpson is also a fan of the Foreo Luna. The skin care devices have T-sonic pulsations and are crafted out of superhygienic silicone.
