How to DIY the Best Hairstyles From Fashion Week

Zulu Knots at Edun Beauty.com hair stylist James Pecis created a samurai-style low bun at the Edun runway show to complement designer Danielle Sherman's Ivory Coast-inspired fashions. The easy style is both parts pretty and simple -- and a great way to disguise dirty hair between washings. Here's how to get the look:

1. Use a product like Phyto Phytovolume Actif Volumizing Spray from roots to ends on wet hair, then roughly blow hair dry.
2. Apply Phyto Professional Glossing Cream to your hands, rubbing them together and then through your hair. Your hair should look natural and textured, not perfect.
3. Pull hair into a low ponytail with a large black bungee headband -- wrap it twice around the hair and then slip it into place around the forehead area. Secure the band with bobby pins if it's slipping.
4. Twist the ponytail into a zulu knot by splitting it into two sections and twisting them around each other to the ends, then twirl it until it begins to coil. Continue twisting and wrap the coil around the base, securing it with an elastic around the middle or base. Tuck the ends into the elastic to hide it.
