So naturally, majestic AF lips coated in luxe layers of iridescent glosses, stains and pixie dust (aka loose pigment powders and highlighters), were the logical progression in an increasingly unicorn-obsessed universe -- and we're so not complaining. After Sigma Beauty released their Sigma Lip Switch, $14, glosses last November (and promptly sold out that very same day), the internet went a-frenzy with mesmerizing images and tutorials featuring the jaw-droppingly prismatic look of holographic lips. And while some of the looks are admittedly far-fetched (and best reserved for costume parties), others are drop-dead divine, and perfectly wearable for GNO or even a nerve-racking first date.
Unsurprisingly, the beauty industry took note, and many of our favorite brands have followed suit, debuting their own glosses, lipsticks, powders and more that promise the same other-worldly look.
