Pick the Right Color Before becoming a pro at base makeup, you have to find the right color. And finding your perfect match goes beyond a basic color. It's important to look at the color and undertones in your skin to find the best fit. For example, if you have fair skin with red undertones, a foundation with a yellow base is a no-go. "To find the perfect match foundation, ask for samples in a few shades closest to your skin tone," suggests makeup pro Tia Hebron. With makeup megastores like Sephora and Ulta Beauty, there's no shortage of products to try. Don't be afraid to ask for help and have a pro swatch you to best match your complexion.
