To reduce the risk of side effects like darkening along the lash line, don't be sloppy with your application. Dr. Wu says to apply the serum at night after removing your makeup and contacts (if you wear them). Wait 15 minutes for your skin to fully dry and then get it as close to your lash line as possible. Look down while it dries to prevent it from migrating up your eyelid.
