Paulina's Fashion-Forward MakeoverAfter a long summer, this low-maintenance Angeleno wanted to add an edge to her laidback look |
Living in La La Land makes it super easy to lose track of the time. The year-round forecast is "70 and sunny," meaning there are no seasons. Add in unlimited access to some of the best beaches and the characteristic carefree and casual vibes, and it's almost impossible to notice where summer ends and fall begins.
Laidback Paulina fits in perfectly with this SoCal sentiment, even when it comes to her beauty routine. "I'm kind of nonchalant about my hair," says the 24-year-old. "You may see me with a braid, bun or ponytail sometimes, but in general I'm super low-maintenance." But with the promise of boots, sweaters, and dark pouts on the horizon, Paulina was ready to snap herself out of summer with an edgier look.
Luckily, her relaxed attitude is a hairstylist's dream: Paulina was up for almost anything. "I'm pretty easygoing, so I am totally down to try something new and change it up," she said. "I personally don't experiment with my hair, but I'm happy to let other people do it for me. I never know how to style my hair, so if someone says they can make it look good, I'll just let them."
Those two someones were colorist Paul Desmarre and stylist Jeffrey Jagged at the Christophe Salon in Beverly Hills, CA. We called on the experts to work their magic and usher Paulina into fall (whether the weather reflects it or not) with a rocker chic and fashion forward look.
