Leather on Leather
Leather on Leather Courtney Kerr, the Bravo TV star and blogger behind What Courtney Wore, is known for putting a sexy spin on classic pieces. Leather has been everywhere this summer, from cap-sleeved tops to skater skirts, and I love to see how easily the trend can transition into the cooler months. Although her Valentino shoes (they're red leopard print and calf hair!) and 3.1 Phillip Lim bag are a major splurge, she also mixes in bargain pieces. A Zara skirt, Baublebar and Gorjana jewelry and a top from Milk & Honey, a small Dallas boutique, are all within a recessionista's budget.

If you're not so sold on wearing all leather (go too far and you end up looking like a Hell's Angel) try to incorporate pieces with small leather details, like leather piping on a basic blazer. Or suck it up and go all out. Courtney's motto: "Style is knowing who you are, what you want to say, and not giving a damn."
