The Most-Wanted Beauty Looks From Fashion WeekA day-by-day playbook of the New York Fashion Week looks that stopped us in our tracks |
Subtle, Statement-Making Nail Art The newest trend in nail art, known as "the midi," was spotted at New York Fashion Week's Creatures of Comfort Spring 2015 show. The trend uses "negative space" (AKA, your bare nail) between two different polish colors -- think of it as your nail wearing a crop top.
To complement the Creatures of Comfort neutral, earthy color palette and minimal, natural makeup, Rebecca Issa, Creative Director at Zoya, created this two-toned look. Nail tech Alicia Torella used two coats of Zoya nail polish in Tomoko above the cuticle and two coats of Farah along the top portion of the nail. The result? An easy-to-achieve, nude-meets-shimmer nail that is a chic, understated way to wear nail art.
