Love It or Hate It: Patent Leather Don't get me wrong; I love fashion, but trends are a whole other topic. When I spotted patent leather on the SS 14 runways via Versace and on celebrities like Rihanna and Miley Cyrus (neither of which make my list of fashion icons), I was thoroughly disappointed. Patent leather just looks like a colorful garbage bag to me.

Then I saw this savvy streetstyler. The deep emerald color and monochromatic ensemble pulled everything together. (And the holographic shoes don't hurt matters.) Damn, I may just be on board.
