Bay To Breakers This annual "anything goes" marathon in San Francisco is where you let your freak flag fly. Held the third Sunday of May, it's one of the largest footraces in the world that attracts more than 50,000 participants and twice the number of spectators who come out to see the spectacle of crazy costumes, eccentric personalities, and centipedes -- teams of 13 runners all connected to each other through the entirety of the run. There's also a costume contest, so consider this your second Halloween.
