Don't know about you, but if I were an Oscar nominee I'd be milking it for every last ounce of glitz and glam. Just think, Marchesa, Armani, Versace vying for you to wear their gown, the H. Sterns and Cartiers of the world clamoring for you to don their baubles, Manolo, Louboutin and Prada, oh my! Not to mention access to all the best hair and makeup people in the biz.

I had to laugh yesterday when I read that Kim Kardashian's "dream job" is to work at Sephora. She told "People" that "If I wasn't doing what I'm doing now I would be a makeup artist or work at Sephora."

I only have a few minutes to write this blog 'cause it's almost time for my new obsession -- "Hoarders" (A&E Monday at 10pm) -- and I absolutely cannot miss it.

With the Academy Awards just days away, it's party season here in Los Angeles. Every high falutin' celeb type is in town for a series of award shows and galas leading up to the big night with Oscar (and Alec and Steve) on March 7.

Don't hate Jessica Simpson because she's beautiful. Hate her because she has a new VH-1 reality show (premiering March 15th) called "The Price of Beauty."

I'll admit I was bummed when NBC yanked “Lipstick Jungle” off the air last year. Sure, it was mostly because I'd miss drooling over Robert Buckley every week but I also came to realize that I'd developed kind of a girl crush on Lindsay Price -- I think she's just beautiful and have liked her since she became Steve Sanders' girlfriend on the last season of the real “90210.” (Ok, so I watch entirely too much TV. What's your point?)

Ever marvel at those chicks who parade around in super-short skirts and stiletto witchy-toed boots in the middle of a Nor'easter?

How cool would it be if stress was good for you? We're all under it -- lots of it -- so just imagine if it made your hair shiny, your skin glow and your nails gorgeous.

Being a beauty editor is a great job. Sorry, I know it's impolite to gloat, but trust me, you would too. Here's the deal, companies send us their products to try. It's like having CVS and every makeup counter in Bloomingdale's at our desks and, yes, I repeat, it's awesome.

Remember when you thought that getting old was something that happened to OTHER people? When wrinkles were for grandmas and gray hair would never creep its way onto your head?
