Pinterest is the fourth most trafficked social media site in the world, with more than 12 million users in the U.S. alone. Fifty nine percent of brides 'fessed up to using Pinterest to help them plan their weddings in a recent Brides.com poll.

So for those of you who have yet to catch wind of the pinning trend, here's how it works: you find all of the cute things you're obsessing over right now, pin them together on a board, and publish it for all of your friends to see. It's genius.

When it comes to planning your bridal look on Pinterest, think of the site as your own, personal wedding assistant. Divide your boards into several categories, so instead of having one giant wedding board, have several, narrower topics (examples include "gorgeous wedding hairstyles" or "floral bouquets").
