As part of its new runway-inspired makeup collection, Dior is launching an exciting 40-shade foundation line. With this new range, Dior joins the ranks of Fenty Beauty, CoverGirl, Cover FX and the many other brands striving towards greater inclusivity within the beauty industry.

Dior Makeup Creative and Image Director Peter Philips described the foundation as "lightweight and easy-to-apply, heatproof and spotlight-proof" in a video for Dior. "It's a very solid foundation with a great range of shades," he concluded.

Within its 40 shades, the foundation range caters to an impressive six different undertones: rosy, olive, yellow, beige, neutral and peach. This selection "[allows] every woman to find the shade that best matches her complexion," explained Philips in a press release from the brand.

In addition to the foundations, the line will also include a lip palette, two brow palettes, two eye palettes, a contour palette, a glow palette and brushes, with each palette housed in sleek silver and transparent packaging (according to Philips, the packaging is clear so you can easily see the shades).

"Basic, essential products are at the roots of our Dior Backstage line," said Philips. "I used my expertise to create more easy to apply and easy to wear essentials for you all: Neutral shades with professional, adjustable formulas, allowing you to play with color intensity and work with every skin tone."
