Drew Barrymore's cosmetics line, Flower Beauty, is making its first foray into skin care after seven years on shelves and we couldn't be more excited.
After all, the brand has always offered exciting color cosmetics options, replete with cute packaging and an affordable price point — and the new
Flower Beauty Supernova Celestial Skin Elixir, $15.99, appears to follow the same credo.
Similar to
brands like Becca, Flower Beauty is combining skin care and makeup with a multi-tasking priming serum-oil hybrid. The newest product goes along with the "celestial" theme that's been everywhere lately (from the
latest Urban Decay palette to the
recent Met Gala and beyond) and comes packed with pearlescent pigments and antioxidants in equal measure. And since it's made with a blend of hydrating oils (such as coconut, jojoba, camellia and more), as well as a few
adaptogenic extracts like moringa, turmeric and aloe, it's also quite soothing and moisturizing.
"It's this new sheen that I've never, ever had with any other product," said
Drew Barrymore told Allure. And you can expect the star to continue her brand's expansion: "This for me is a stellar and foray into bridging us into the world of skin care."
We're excited for the new direction, especially with noted
skin care enthusiast Drew Barrymore at the helm.
