With Tom Cruise seemingly nothing but a distant memory, Katie Holmes has added another hyphenate to her string of métiers. The actress-singer-dancer-mother-fashion designer-model is now also a makeup maven.
Holmes, who has co-designed a high-end fashion label, Holmes & Yang, since 2008, has collaborated with Bobbi Brown to come up with a line of cosmetics for designed specifically for women with little-to-no time to primp and preen.
"Nobody wants to look like they've been getting ready for hours," Holmes told
WWD "It's all about the effortless chic."
The "Bobbi & Katie" line of products will include eye shadows, Pot Rouges and eye pencils in nudes and natural colors that can be applied quickly and on the go.

"I'm busy, Bobbi's busy. I don't know a woman who isn't busy, and you need that quick fix," Holmes says of the products they designed specifically so that they're easy enough to use "in the back of a cab ... in your bathroom at home ... [or] in the parking lot at your child's soccer game."
Holmes, who, not-so-coincidentally, has been the face of Bobbi Brown cosmetics for nearly a year (and who also does print ads for green-conscious hair care brand Alterna) received high praise from Brown who says that, "She really has a feel for what women want and need. She has a great eye for color and design."
Guess we'll see for ourselves when the collection launches (in select stores) next month.
