This Definitely Isn't Your Grandma's Prom Accessory

With the addition of this corsage to the menu of options, Prom 2014 will surely go down in (greasy) infamy...

You only have to get a gander at the gowns in stores to know that Prom has changed a lot since you were a kid.

Gone are the modest Laura Ashley dresses of yesteryear. Racy open-backed, cut out torso offerings from companies like Nasty Gal and Shimmer Dress have long since replaced them on the racks.

The accessories, too, have gotten ultra modern and more than a little "out there." Leather-studded headpieces, sky high Lucite heels, electronic boutonnieres -- anything/everything to make your seminal night (and your Instagram) more memorable.

And, now, in what has to be the most bizarre-o move ever, KFC (yes, that's Kentucky Fried Chicken), is looking to get in on a little Prom action, too.

From the mind of some marketing whiz at the down home fast food chain comes the edible corsage.

I swear.

The Colonel's pride and joy has joined forces with a Louisville, KY based florist called Nanz & Kraft to create a drumstick corsage replete with satin ribbon, baby's breath and, you guess it, fried chicken leg.

For $20 girls (or the crazy brave guys who're going to surprise them) can customize their wristlet with Original Recipe, Extra Crispy or Grilled Chicken and all they have to do is click and order to have their delectable design created specially for them.

God bless America.
