We're still wrapping our heads around last week's announcement that
Christian Louboutin is making a high-fashion foray into cosmetics, and it looks like this trend of luxury fashion companies taking over the beauty counter isn't slowing down. The latest fashion house rumored to fully cross over? Gucci.
WWD reports that according to market sources, the Italian fashion house is developing a makeup line that will hit shelves in 2014. Due to the brand's highly successful fragrances, this seems like a smart move. However, a spokesman for Procter & Gamble Co.'s Prestige -- the beauty company that has held a licensing contract with Gucci since 2006 -- has declined to comment on the rumors.
In the mean time, what do you think? Do you want to see Gucci cosmetics in the near future?
