So... thanks to
Peloton's Christmas ad debacle, we've safely ruled out the concept of gifting workout equipment to spouses. (Because, seriously guys: That's just plain rude.)
But hilariously tone-deaf marketing aside, we
are super intrigued by the concept of
home workout classes. After all, by eliminating travel time to-and-from the gym and etc, you're one (big) step closer to
actually working out.
One such convenient home workout service?
MYXfitness. Launched this November, the platform offers everything from
trendy cardio dance programs, to
seriously calorie-burning HIIT.
There are currently two package options priced at $1,199 and $1,499, each of which includes a stationary bike, an interactive tablet and a heart rate monitor. If you go with the pricier option, you'll also get three sets of dumbbells, a kettlebell, a resistance band, a foam roller and two mats.
"The personal wellness and at-home fitness industries are booming, yet Americans' mental and physical health are on the decline. For many people, the market's current offerings don't suit their needs and lifestyles — MYXfitness hopes to fix that," said MYXfitness president Heberto Calves in a press release. "Using science-backed methods and positive psychology for a personalized holistic approach, MYXfitness hopes to close this gap and transform the fitness landscape, offering users a safer, healthier and smarter platform to achieve their wellness goals."
Color us intrigued! We're up for trying just about anything that'll help keep us accountable to our wellness goals.
