All Samm Newman wanted to do was celebrate in a little body positivity. So she took a couple of snaps of herself in her bra and undies and uploaded them to Instagram. The size 24 19-year-old hashtagged the photo #bodylove and thought nothing of it. But then she got a notification that someone in the Instagram community had flagged the photo as "inappropriate." She was kicked off Instagram.
Say what?

Considering the numbers of barely clad girls and guys on the 'Gram, it seemed a rather glaring move on Instagram's part to ban Newman's photo. When Newman confronted them about their shady photo removal policy, the company acknowledged that they'd erroneously taken down her photo and reinstated her account.
"When our team processes reports from other members of the Instagram community, we occasionally make a mistake," wrote Instagram in an apology. "In this case, we wrongly removed content and worked to rectify the error as soon as we were notified. We apologize for any inconvenience." That doesn't necessarily solve the problem that women are being deemed "inappropriate" on Instagram because they're plus-size. [
