Maybe the name Jessica Meraz doesn't roll right off your tongue just yet, but if you're interested in seeing more spirited, rule-breaking, unapologetic girl power on television, tune into this up-and-comer from ABC Family's new series, "Chasing Life."
Hailing from a bilingual community in El Paso, Texas, Meraz now considers herself a California convert. When she's not winning over fans with her sharp tongue and snatched brows as Natalie on "Chasing Life," she can be found seaside, bikini-clad and doused in sunscreen. (Spoiler: It's her No. 1 beauty go-to). But this girl is no LA stereotype. There's a rare down-to-earth charisma in Meraz. She radiates the sort of genuine relatability that makes you feel as if you've known her since high school -- scarce among actresses on the brink of stardom.
That's probably why it was so effortless to sit down and chat with the "Chasing Life" cast member about, well, anything you'd talk about with your best friends.
