What We're Drinking: Kusmi Tea's BB Detox

We just tried the latest BB craze -- a Beauty Beverage -- and it's damn good. Here's the scoop
It seems like the beauty world has a penchant for abbreviation and alliteration. How else would you explain the runaway popularity of BB (Beauty Balm) Creams, CC (Color Correcting) Creams, and even DD (Dynamic Do-All) Creams? You can even buy a BB Cream for your hair.

Now, in an effort to satisfy consumers clamoring for BB-everything, Kusmi Tea has created the new BB Detox. This Beauty Beverage "purifies the skin from the inside out" with a blend of maté, green tea, rooibos, and a subtle hint of grapefruit.

Yesterday, I shared a cup of BB Detox with Kusmi Tea's Marketing Director, Raphael Camp, at the Detox Market in West Hollywood. He explained Kusmi Tea's long history engaging in the Russian art of blending tea (they've been doing it since 1867, starting in Russia and moving to Paris during the Revolution). Currently their Detox blend is a celebrity-fave, with Salma Hayek and Adriana Lima counted as big fans. And I'm going to go ahead and call it now: The BB Detox is about to develop a cult following. After all, the tea is crazy-delicious (I mean, who doesn't love subtle notes of grapefruit?) and its ingredients help you achieve a radiant and healthy complexion.

A detoxing drink that's actually delish? Fire up the electric kettle.
