Lena Dunham, the Ryan Seacrest of the lady-comedy set, isn't content with just one hit comedy, so she's creating a new show for HBO, about the life of Berdorf Goodman's 85-year-old legend Betty Halbreich. Halbreich is a personal shopping guru and by all accounts a very sassy lady. Here's what she had to say to about jeans. "I have to tell you, I've never worn a pair of blue jeans in my life. I've tried them on. Behind closed doors. They're very uncomfortable!"
The irony of Dunham, a woman whose fashion choices often leave her in the "worst dressed" column, making a show about a woman who's spent her entire life choosing clothes for people isn't lost on Halbriech, at least. Halbreich takes a critical tone with Dunham's sartorial and beauty choices.
Betty: "I told you, that blue eye shadow at the Emmys made your eyes tear."
Lena: "I know. The Emmys weren't my finest hour."
And her take on Dunham's
Girls? "I've never seen it." We like her already. [
